Always Choose to Do Hard Things!

Always Choose to Do Hard Things!

Let’s dive right in with a confession: I’ve always been a bit of an oddball when it comes to decision-making. Some might call it unconventional, others downright crazy. But hey, that’s just me!

Throughout my life, I’ve faced a barrage of questions about my choices. Why push the limits? Why go to such extremes? Why bother with something no one’s asking for?

Here’s one example that stands out. Picture this: it’s 2017, I’m 32 years old, and what do I decide to do? Dive headfirst into the world of gymnastics and acrobatics. Now, to say people thought I’d lost my marbles would be putting it lightly. At that age, conventional wisdom dictated that my body should be showing signs of wear and tear, and my mind supposedly past its prime for learning new tricks. Even my instructor had his doubts.

And let me tell you, the journey wasn’t always pretty. I faced humiliation, doubt, and countless moments where I questioned myself—Why the hell did I get myself into this? Nobody asked me to become a gymnast. I had no ambition to become a professional athlete, and this certainly wouldn’t aid my entrepreneurial career. So why push myself to the extreme—training for hours each day, six days a week, and paying 12 times more than my regular gym membership? From a materialistic standpoint, it made no sense and was a total waste of my time, effort, and money, just as many people around me thought.

But you know what? I had a simple answer: Because I bloody well love it! The challenge of mastering a new skill while keeping fit? Sign me up. Sure, it pushed me to my limits—physically and mentally. But why settle for the easy route when greatness beckons?

Fast forward a few years, and guess who’s still standing? Yours truly! Granted, I may not have become the star student, but I’ve earned a different kind of badge of honor: the hardest worker in the room. And you know what? That’s good enough for me.

Looking back, I realize just how much this simple act of doing something so challenging and out of my comfort zone has shaped me. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and definitely made my life richer and more colorful. I’ve discovered many amazing parts of myself that I would never have found if I hadn’t pushed my limits and done crazy stuff

And you know what’s surprising? All of these experiences have actually aided me tremendously in building my business. I’ve developed stronger resilience and patience in whatever endeavors I encounter.

So, my fellow adventurers, I leave you with this question: Are you ready to embrace the challenge, or are you content to play it safe?
